Rock Creek’s baseball team is set to play in the Class 3A state championship game Sunday at the Trusler Sports Complex in Emporia.

The championship contest is tentatively scheduled to start a half-hour after the conclusion of the semifinal between Minneapolis High School and Sabetha High School, whose game was postponed during the second inning Friday afternoon because of thunderstorms and flooding in the area.

The semifinal is slated at noon Sunday, weather permitting.

Rock Creek clinched its spot in the state title game with a 4-0 victory over Wellsville in Friday’s first semifinal.

In its first game at the tournament on Thursday, Rock Creek pitcher Toby Becker tossed a no-hitter in a 3-0 win over Burlington High.
