The Manhattan High boys’ soccer team defeated Trinity Academy 2-0 Wednesday in Wichita to get back on the winning track.

The Indians’ first goal came in the first half by way of a Connor Turner cross to Cole Schmitt. Manhattan’s Michael Ohler followed up with a goal of his own minutes later.

Both teams were held scoreless in the second half.

“We played well,” MHS head coach Mike Sanchez said in a text. “We had a couple of chances in the second half, which we could have put away. We had a goal called off because of offsides.”

With the win, Manhattan improves to 2-2 on the season. The Indians’ next game is Tuesday against Seaman at Bishop Stadium.
