Manhattan High bowling opened its season on Tuesday in a quad at Gage Bowl in Topeka versus host Hayden, as well as Seaman and Topeka West.

Senior Jasmine Bridgers was the standout, bowling a 764 (241-278-245) which was the second highest score shot that night among all bowlers.

Grace Radi finished behind Bridgers with a 436 (126-144-166), Leah Reid finished with a 417 (167-148-102), Mia Dawson bowled a 404 (104-136-164), Abby Kenney shot a 345 (98-129-118), and Amber Hutzler had a 224 (66-64-94).

For the Manhattan boys, Jaden Moreno led the way with a 568 (216-154-198) in his varsity debut.

Nick Murph finished just behind him with a 549 (202-187-160), Connor Andresen had a 496 (165-156-175), Juan Avila had a 493 (194-142-157), and Jaden Lang had a 480 (127-186-167).

The Manhattan JV boys also competed Tuesday, led by Eli Kunz who bowled a 465 (125-172-168).

The Indians will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Topeka for a quad hosted by Topeka West at West Ridge Lanes. Shawnee Heights and Emporia will also be competing.
