Kansas cross country coaches released their second poll of the season over the weekend, and both the Manhattan and Wamego boys’ and girls’ teams earned spots in the top seven of their respective classes.

The Manhattan girls are ranked third in Class 6A behind Olathe West and Washburn Rural, while the boys rank fourth behind Olathe South, Free State and Shawnee Mission North.

Meanwhile, the Wamego girls rank third in Class 4A behind Eudora and Baldwin, while the boys are ranked second behind Buhler.

Both the Wabaunsee boys and girls received votes in Class 2A while the Riley County boys (3A) and the Frankfort boys (1A) also received votes.
