Manhattan High’s boys golf team is receiving a do-over.

After severe weather delayed the Class 6A tournament on Monday, KSHSAA originally rescheduled play to resume at 10 a.m. Wednesday. But Tuesday morning, KSHSAA announced that wouldn’t be the case.

Now, the Indians and the rest of the teams vying for the state title will return to the Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton on Tuesday.

And Monday’s results will be wiped clean. When players take to the tee box at 8 a.m. Tuesday, they will start a new round.

In the on-course action Monday, senior Cody Begnoche paced Manhattan at 4-over par through seven holes. Fellow senior Josh Priddle was 6-over par through six holes, while both Casey Gritton and Mitch Munsen sat at 8-over par through eight holes.

Freshman Grant Snowden also was 8-over (after six holes) and junior Collin Devane was 9-over (through eight).

Garden City senior Sion Audrain was at the top of the individual leaderboard, going 2-under through his first six holes.
