It’s not too early to start planning what you’ll be doing to welcome 2020. There are several celebrations.

The Little Apple New Year’s Eve ball drop is always a family favorite. Starting at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, DJ Dan Michaels, of Q Country 1035 and Power Hits 97.5, will be hosting a live remote broadcast in front of Rally House, concluding with the Little Apple ball drop from atop top of Rally House at midnight.

But the LANYE celebration isn’t just the ball drop at midnight. It’s an all-day celebration.

All day long, contribute to the 8-Day Donation Drive. Donate hats and gloves for the USD 383 FIT Closet, as well as toiletry items for the Flint Hills Breadbasket. Bring your donations to any of the collection sites below between now and New Year’s Eve.

Donation drive collection sites include the Aggieville Business Association office, Hair Experts Salon and Spa, FedEx Office Print & Ship Center, Brew Bros Hops and Sprockets, Sisters Of Sound Records, Insomnia Cookies, The Alms Group, Auntie Mae’s, Pandora Rolled Ice Cream, and Rally House.

On Tuesday, Sisters Of Sound Records will be hosting a free art viewing from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

From 5:30-6:30 p.m., Bluestem Bistro will host free sing along with Mr. Steve and NYE Ball Drop Countdown for Kids.

There are a few seats left for the sight-seeing trolley rides from 6-8 p.m. For tickets, search Sight-Seeing Trolley Rides on Eventbrite.

Other activities include teen and adult karaoke from 7:15 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Kite’s, a Paint & Sip at Uncorked Inspiration at 6 p.m., and live music featuring Philosophy of Lions, Headlight Rivals, and MACQ Network from 7-11 p.m. at the Bluemont Hotel.

From 6:45-11 p.m., Martika, a roving fire act, will move throughout Aggieville.
