Virginia E. (Engert) Peck, age 95, of Manhattan, died June 24, 2019, at Via Christi Village in Manhattan.

She was born November 3, 1923, in Manhattan, the daughter of John L. and Martha (Gaede) Engert.

Virginia graduated from Manhattan High School and attended business school.

She was married to John B. Becker, they later divorced.

After business school she moved to California and worked as a medical secretary until retirement in 1988.

In 1965, she was married to Galen T. Peck. He preceded her in death in 2014.

Survivors include her brother Phillip L. Engert of Manhattan; daughter Wendy S. Means of Lakeport, CA; step-sons: Gene Peck of Batavia, Ohio, and Keith Peck of Princeville, HI; four nieces and their families; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 1st, at the Sunset Cemetery in Manhattan, with The Very Reverend A. Patrick Funston officiating. Family and friends are invited to meet at 10:30 A.M. Monday at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home to form a procession to the cemetery.
