Matthew Snyder of Manhattan, the grandson of K-State football head coach Bill Snyder and son of assistant coach Sean Snyder, died Wednesday at age 22, multiple sources told The Mercury.
Emergency personnel responded to a medical call Wednesday afternoon in the 3300 block of Claflin Avenue in Manhattan. Riley County police confirmed that there had been a death but declined to give any further information.
The house at 3309 Claflin Ave. belongs to KTMW LLC, which is owned by Sean and Wanda Snyder, according to county records.
K-State's athletics department had no comment when reached late Wednesday night.
Matthew's father, Sean, has served as the Wildcats' associate head coach/special teams coordinator and director of football operations the past seven seasons.
