A Riley County Police Department report identified the man found deceased near the Manhattan Crossing shopping center Monday as a St. George resident.

The report lists the man as 47-year-old Bradley Funk.

Officers responded to a report of a welfare check just before 7 a.m. Monday at 628 Tuttle Creek Boulevard, near Hobby Lobby. Police found Funk deceased inside a vehicle in the parking lot.

The report did not indicate a possible cause of death, but police said no they did not suspect foul play.

According to his obituary, Funk graduated from Manhattan High School and attended the Air Force Academy.

He then received a master’s degree in accounting from K-State and later owned Funk & Associates Accounting.
