Three finalists for the principal position at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary will be interviewed Thursday and Friday.

The interviews will include forums in the school’s library that are open to the public.

The three candidates are Trina Dibbini, Rachel Buessing and Ashley Smith.

Dibbini is the assistant principal at Manhattan High School and has more than 17 years of experience in public education. While she has worked as a teacher at the elementary and middle school level, she has also served as a principal at those levels.

Buessing, assistant principal at General Seitz Elementary School at Fort Riley, has served in the education field for over 10 years. Buessing has been an elementary assistant principal and classroom teacher.

Smith is the assistant principal at Riley County Grade School. She has served more than eight years in public education, including working as an elementary school teacher.

The forums will take place at noon Thursday with Dibbini, 4 p.m. Thursday with Buessing and 1 p.m. Friday with Smith.

They are interviewing to replace Andrea Tiede, who will begin as USD 383’s special service executive director on July 1.
