The principal of Frank V. Bergman Elementary School announced her retirement on Tuesday morning.
Lori Martin wrote in a letter posted on the school’s Facebook page that she plans to retire at the end of the school year.
Martin said she has enjoyed the support she has received throughout her career, as well as working alongside her colleagues in service of children and their families.
“Together we have accomplished so much,” Martin wrote. “I am so excited to see what the future holds for each of our students and our school family. As I go forward and experience the next chapter in my life, I will always be your biggest fan and supporter! It is my sincere hope that each of your lives will be richly blessed, so that you in turn can continue to bless others.”
Martin has worked for USD 383 since 2000.
