Riley County police arrested a man running for Ogden City Council on a DUI charge Thursday, following another recent DUI arrest.
Officers arrested Paul Edward Foltz, 76, Ogden, for suspicion of driving under the influence around midnight Thursday at Casey’s General Store. According to an RCPD report, Foltz is not confined at the Riley County Jail, and he didn’t have a bond.
Police also arrested Foltz for DUI in July and failure to appear in April.
Foltz declined to comment Thursday when The Mercury asked about the recent incidents.
Foltz is one of 10 candidates who have filed for Ogden City Council. The general election is Nov. 5. He has previously filed for a seat on the Riley County Commission in the 1999, 2008 and 2012 elections.
