INCIDENTS

• A 32-year-old woman and a 27-year-old woman reported they were battered during an altercation between neighbors, according to a Riley County Police Department report. Officers filed a report for battery Wednesday at 1020 Houston St. and arrested David Ray Lewis, 50, of Manhattan on two counts of battery in connection with the incident. • Someone used a counterfeit check from Briggs Auto, according to an RCPD report. Officers filed a report for forgery Thursday at 2312 Stagg Hill Road. Estimated total loss is $4,986.67. • A 58-year-old woman reported that a woman took checks from her and cashed them, according to an RCPD report. Officers filed a report for theft and identity theft Thursday in Manhattan.
