INCIDENTS

• A 53-year-old man reported that someone entered his residence and took cash, a wedding ring set and speakers, according to a Riley County Police Department report. Officers filed a report for aggravated burglary at 300 North Fifth St. at about 11:10 a.m. Tuesday. Estimated total loss is $13,000. Police refused to identify the victim. Police ask that anyone with information contact the RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Anonymous information provided to Crime Stoppers at 785-539-7777 could result in a cash reward up to $1,000.

• A 23-year-old man reported a man he knows choked and threatened him, according to an RCPD report. Officers filed a report for aggravated battery in the 2200 block of College Avenue at about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

• Someone took a subwoofer from a 21-year-old man and 23-year-old man’s vehicle, according to an RCPD report. Officers filed a report for theft from a motor vehicle at 928 Osage St. about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. Estimated total loss is $500. Police refused to identify the victims. • A 21-year-old man reported that someone scammed him out of money using the gift card scam, according to an RCPD report. Officers filed a report for theft by deception in Manhattan at about 1:35 p.m. Tuesday. Estimated total loss is $2,000. Police refused to identify the victim. Police ask that anyone with information contact the RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.

• A 52-year-old man reported a man used his identity to take out a loan, according to an RCPD report. Officers filed a report for identity theft in Manhattan at about 2 p.m. Tuesday. Estimated total loss is $1,500.

• A 13-year-old boy sexually exploited a 13-year-old girl, according to an RCPD report. Officers filed a report for aggravated criminal sodomy and sexual exploitaiton of a child in Manhattan at about 3 p.m. Tuesday. Because of the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.
