A sentencing for a Manhattan man involved in a shooting with police in January 2018 was delayed on Monday.
Mark Harrison, 38, was scheduled to be sentenced Monday morning but the hearing was continued, according to the Riley County District Courthouse Clerk’s Office. The new hearing will take place at 9 a.m. July 29.
Harrison pleaded no contest in June to an attempted manslaughter charge related to when Harrison fired rounds from his home after Riley County Police Sgt. Pat Tiede responded to a reported domestic incident. One shot injured Tiede.
In February, a jury found Harrison guilty of criminal damage to property stemming from when Harrison’s bullets struck an armored vehicle responding to the shooting parked at a neighboring home.
