An apartment fire in northeast Manhattan displaced two residents on Monday.

The Manhattan Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 2:27 p.m. Monday at Country Meadows Residences at 1300 Marlatt Ave. Apt. 501. Upon arrival, crews found a two-story apartment building with a fire on the first floor.

Fire crews extinguished in five minutes. The residents were not home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

Officials estimated the loss at $15,000 contents and $25,000 to the eight-unit apartment building.

The owner is listed as Country Meadows Residences, L.C., with the resident agent listed as Alan Joseph of Wichita.

Officials were investigating the cause of the fire Monday afternoon.
