K-State football players react to alternate jersey news

Kansas State players learned of the alternate jerseys they will wear this weekend against Baylor on Monday afternoon in the team theater.

Kansas State will wear alternate uniforms Saturday. Instead of donning their traditional purple jerseys, silver pants and silver helmets, the Wildcats will wear white pants and a white helmet with purple jerseys for Saturday's game against Baylor.

K-State announced the move Monday afternoon.

The team heard the news all at once; in the team theater, the jersey-reveal video was played on a projector. As soon as the video ended, a player walked in wearing a No. 23 jersey with the new, alternate look.

The room erupted in celebration.
