Kansas State continues rising up the rankings.
Following its 38-10 road victory over Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown, K-State moved up in both major polls, which were released Sunday.
The Wildcats now are No. 20 in the Associated Press poll, while in the Amway Coaches rankings tabbed them No. 24. It marked a two-spot improvement in the AP (from No. 22) and a three-position jump in the coaches (from No. 25).
For the second week in a row, K-State was one of only three representatives from the Big 12 in the AP’s top 25, joining Oklahoma (No. 9) and unbeaten Baylor (No. 11), which held off West Virginia on Thursday. Those Sooners (No. 8), Bears (No. 10) and Wildcats (No. 22) also make up the conference’s ranked contingent in the coaches poll.
