Kansas State women’s basketball coach Jeff Mittie added Ally Connolly as the program’s director of basketball administration Tuesday, completing the staff for the 2019-20 season.
“We are pleased to add Ally to our staff,” Mittie said in a release. “She has a wide variety of experiences that will benefit our entire staff and program. She also understands the K-State family culture that we all value in our community, campus and athletics program.”
Connolly is responsible for coordinating staff and team travel logistics, money and budget management, training table coordination, camp and clinic budgets, manage all home game logistics and on-campus logistics and daily office operations. She also will also direct program contact for all other K-State Athletics departments.
Connolly was the assistant director of events and hospitality with K-State Athletics last season.
In that role she oversaw premium seating and gameday hospitality for football, basketball and baseball. She scheduled and coordinated all the events in the West Stadium Center and aided the women’s basketball team in planning and the implementation of the first women’s basketball tip-off event prior to the 2018-19 season.
Connolly also was involved at Virginia Tech from 2015-18 before she arrived in Manhattan. She began her time there in premium seating and then added recruiting assistant for the Hokies’ football program. She capped her time in the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, serving as a special events coordinator.
An Oklahoma graduate, Connolly received her bachelor of business administration i economics in 2011 as well as a master of higher education in intercollegiate athletics administration in 2015. She also is married to K-State’s director of baseball operations, Ryan Connolly.
