Creed Clayton, 8, of Fort Scott, waits to step on the field for autographs during the K-State football fan appreciation day at Bill Snyder Family Stadium last year.

Kansas State football fans can mark their calendars for Aug. 24.

That’s the day the Wildcats will hold their Meet the ‘Cats autograph session at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The event, which will run from 2 to 3 p.m., gives fans the opportunity to interact with and get autographs from first-year head coach Chris Klieman, his staff and players.

“Meet the Cats” replaces “Fan Appreciation Day,” which Snyder held during each preseason to allow fans to watch a portion of practice before meeting players and coaches on the field.

Fans are asked to park on the west side of the stadium and enter through Gate B for the autograph session. Those seeking autographs are asked to limit the number of items to one per person. Fans also are encouraged to provide their own item to be signed, but for those who come without, the K-State Super Store at the stadium will be open during the event.

K-State players report for preseason camp Thursday, with the first practice to follow Friday. Klieman’s first press conference of the fall is set for 1:30 p.m. Monday.

K-State kicks off the Klieman era at 6 p.m. Aug. 31, hosting Nicholls State in a contest that will air on ESPN+.
