Canton-Galva’s Tyson Struber broke the 8-Player record for career touchdown receptions Friday in the team’s 66-20 win over Clifton-Clyde. Struber’s three touchdowns upped his career total to 64, which passed Axtell’s Hunter Koch’s 63.

The three-star wide receiver has 1,127 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns on 51 catches. He is widely considered one of the top athletes in the state.

Defensively, Struber leads the Eagles in tackles this season with 100 (51 solo), 11 of which are for losses. He’s also scooped up two fumbles.

Canton-Galva (8-1) is in the sectional round of the 8-Player Div. I playoffs. It will host undefeated Sedan (10-0) on Friday for a shot at sub-state.
