Baker acquires stock in McMillan

Garric D. Baker, AIA, recently became a stockholder in Bruce McMillan AIA Architects, P.A. Manhattan and Junction City.

A holder of a master’s degree in architecture in 2013 from Kansas State University, he has been with the firm for six and a half years and serves as lead project manager.

Licensed as an architect in 2019, he was chosen as the Young Architect of the Year by AIA Kansas – a chapter of the American Institute of Architects – in 2019.

He has served on boards and committees such as the Junction City, Manhattan, and Wamego Young Professionals within each Chamber of Commerce, President of the Kansas Barn Alliance, and board member of the Manhattan Arts Center, among others.

He will serve as President of AIA Flint Hills starting in 2020 as it hosts the annual AIA Kansas Conference in Manhattan during fall 2020.
