This is the place to search the archives of The Manhattan Mercury back to 1997.

You can search for free; you will be given all the results that match your search terms. If you choose to proceed from there to actually download the full story, you will deal with an independent firm called NewsLibrary that maintains our archives. You can walk through a simple process of setting up an account with them; there is a small fee that you will be charged per story that you download if you choose to proceed.

Other methods of finding information:

  1. Use the seach box at the very top of any page on this website in order to search material currently active on the site. This includes news content, community information, classified advertisements and business listings.
  2. Use microfilm for stories older than 1997. The best source for microfilm is the Manhattan Public Library, (785) 776-4741.

This archive is for Manhattan Mercury content, and does not include Associated Press stories.
