The Special Troops Battalion, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, led by Lt. Col. Dana Stowell, took the week’s top prize.
This year’s route totals 555 miles and started at the Colorado border in the southwest corner of Kansas near Elkhart on June 7. Bikers will wrap up their journey on Saturday.
The win gave Manhattan (3-3) third place at the 22nd annual Tournament of Champions.
The event is intended to showcase farm-fresh Kansas foods prepared and served in a rustic setting.
There were about 25 neighborhood parties for the event in its 14th year, which is sponsored by The Mercury.
