Irene Alcantar Cepeda, 87, of Manhattan and formerly of Los Angeles, died Friday at the Westy Community Care Home in Westmoreland.
The family provided some of the following information.
She was born in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning, Nov. 9, 1926.
Irene retired from the Los Angeles Housing Authority after 17 years, where she served as an interpreter. She loved all types of music, especially Mariachi music. Irene was a wonderful dancer and a great story-teller. She loved to laugh.
