  • Wally Cash, honored K-State vet professor, dead at 68

    A longtime K-State veterinary professor known for his distinctive laugh and engaging teaching style died Monday. Walter “Wally” C. Cash, doctor of veterinary medicine and distinguished professor emeritus of the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Anatomy and Physiology, died Monday, June 29, 2015,


    Martha Lou (Axelton) Erickson, 81, of Topeka, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at the Kansas University Medical Center, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.                                            &


    Mildred “Millie” Collins, 82, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.                    A complete obituary and visitation times are pending and will be released later by the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home.


    Richard Oliver Daves, 69, of Veterans Colony, Wilburton, Oklahoma, died Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Veterans Colony Community, Oklahoma.  Richard was born June 21, 1946, in Long Beach, California, to Ben and LaVerne (Walters) Daves.  He grew up in California, graduating from Redlands High School in Redlands,


    Clark E. Linders, 62, of Manhattan, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his residence. He was born on April 4, 1953, in Redbud, Illinois, and had been a longtime Manhattan resident.     Cyndra Ellen Garrels, 58, died Thursday, May 21, 2015, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born May 11, 1957, in Manhattan. She is survived by brother Lance F. Garrels of Manhattan. There will be a private family ceremony on July 26.


    Lydia Virginia Harrison, 96, of Manhattan, formerly of Clarksville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, June 29, 2015. The family provided some of the following information. She was a retired mathematics teacher and enjoyed computers and traveling. Lydia Virginia Claybrook was born in Jackson, Tennessee,


    Frank “John” Anneberg, Jr., 69, of Manhattan, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Via Christ Hospital in Manhattan. The family provided some of the following information.     Marjorie Ann Hagemann, of Olpe, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Emporia Presbyterian Manor. Marge was born in Olpe on June 26, 1932, to John and Mildred (Morrow) Nuessen. She married Donald Hagemann on April 19, 1952. Marge is survived by her children, Gwen (Kevin) Tucker of Topeka, Alicia (Steve) Buehne


    Mary Margaret O’Toole Hook, 70, of Marysville, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Blue Valley Nursing Home in Blue Rapids. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. July 1, 2015, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Marysville. A Christian Mass will be held at 10 a.m.
