    Edith Mabel Gibbs Cutright, 95, of Wamego, formerly of Topeka, died Saturday at the Westy Community Care Home in Westmoreland. Edith was a long-time resident of the area. Edith was born May 14, 1918, in Oskaloosa. She attended local schools and graduated in 1937 from Oskaloosa High School.

    Blaine N. Thomas, 90, a lifetime resident and active community member of Manhattan, died Friday at his home. Blaine was born on Aug. 18, 1923, in Manhattan, the son of Ora and Alta (Shields) Thomas. He grew up and attended schools in Manhattan, graduating from Manhattan High School.
