    Hazel (Keen) Roberts, 91, died Tuesday at the Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan. She was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Fostoria. Funeral service information and a complete obituary are pending and will be released later by the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.


    Cecilia Delores (Birzer) Denning, 89, a long-time resident of Russell, died on April 25, 2014, at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City.  Cecilia was born on June 9, 1924, in Barton County near Ellinwood.  She was the 15th of 18 children born to Joseph and Mathilda (Beran) Birzer.


    Elaine Mary Lindstrom, 91, of Riley, died April 26, 2014, at the Leonardville Nursing Home. She was born on April 19, 1923, on the Greenfield family farm southwest of Leonardville, the daughter of August and Lillian (Greenfield) Trumpp. She was baptized in the Fairview Presbyterian Church on Aug. 3, 1924.     Michael D. “Mike” Holmes, 34, of St. George, died April 25, 2014, as the result of a dirt bike accident in Waynoka, Okla. He was born May 30, 1979, in Manhattan, the son of Donald E. and Nancy H. (Huyser) Holmes. Mike worked with his father and managed Holmes Carpet


    Irma Jean “Irmie” Fallon, died Saturday, April 19, at the age of 85 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House following an extended illness with Alzheimer’s disease.  Irmie was born on the family farm near Manson, Iowa on Jan. 29, 1929, to parents Fred and Elizabeth Hoefing. At
