Oops!  Didn’t mean to add to your confusion.  It’s located at 4th & Humboldt (southeast corner of the intersection; northwest corner of the parking lot - the building faces west onto 4th Street).  The Senior Center is at 4th & Leavenworth, which is where I spend half my days so force of habit caused me to type that, I guess.

Debbie,
I think, in part it was the “old soldiers” moniker that got me confused.

Stacia:  Good point about the fair.  Trying to compete with the Wamego gala is most likely not a good idea.  But a local small scale fireworks show, as we had in the past might still be worth it for those that do not wish to go off to Wamego.

The best one was back in the 70’s when there was a fire at the fireworks stand in front of the old Wal Mart…that was spectacular and didn’t cost the city a penny.
