“Kathy Martin, outspoken former member of the Kansas State Board of Education, filed Thursday to run for the 64th District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives.

Martin, a Republican from rural Clay Center, at this point would face a primary challenge from Kansas State University senior music major Ben Wilson, who also has filed for the seat.

No other potential candidates have filed or announced to this point.

However many candidates end up in the race, they’ll be competing for Rep. Vern Swanson’s seat in the House.

Swanson (R-Clay Center) announced last month that he would not seek re-election for the seat he’s occupied since 2006.

Martin is a retired elementary teacher, and served on the Kansas State Board of Education from 2005 to 2012 as representative from the 6th District.

She became well known for her support of creationism in Kansas school science curricula. Standards to include creationism were adopted in 2005 and amended in 2007.”

They’re insidious… and emboldened by the Brownback papacy.  Those “teachers” your boys just shat on were our family and friends.  Wake up, Kansas!

If Martin is elected, she will push for…
1.)  Firing of any teacher who utters the word evolution or global warming in a public classroom
2.)  Require every teacher in public schools to have a minimum two years of their college education rec’d at a school of divinity.
3.)  Immediately put an end to any language courses except English and Greek.
4.)  Push to shut off receipt of any and all education funding that comes from the Federal Government.  ALL school funding will have to be paid for by the taxpayers of Kansas.  That way, the Kansas Legislature can deem what can… and cannot… be taught in our public school.

Look up either “right wing wacko” or “religious zealot” in the dictionary.  Martin’s photo is used as the definition for both terms.
