What if Brownback would have won his bid to become President of the United States?  Seems he appointed his old college roommate as a Riley County District Court Judge.  Would he have appointed this same attorney to the Supreme Court?  Brownie is one of those who has campaigned against “legislating from the bench”.  Yet, his old roomy and District Judge appointee “legislates” his own 60 day sentence for the drunk driver who kills two?  Interesting.  How many years had it been since this small town attorney handled a criminal case… before being handed his appointement as a District Court Judge?

Move on.  Nothing to see here.  Perfectly within the Governor’s right to appoint whomever he wants to judgeships.
