But you forgot to mention that, in order to be a good tennis player, you need the genes of wealth.
With only a few exceptions, all great tennis players…males, at least…grew up in privileged families.  They had coaches…the rest of us just whacked away at the ball to little avail.
I will say that the one thing golf and tennis have in common is the fact that both sports put the average viewer to sleep while watching them.
Now, as regarding the “toughest” sport…tennis players get little balls returned to them at warp speed, however, they are not attacked by three hundred pound apes, so, I might argue that football is a mite tougher.
