Watched a great old movie this afternoon

I am not sure who wrote the screenplay, but it was brilliant.  The movie was “Shenandoah” with James Stewart.  Some fantastic lines from this film.
eg…“According to the preacher, you wouldn’t like where I am going.”...“Too late to pray for me and expect satisfactory results.”
And here is the greatest of all. When Jimmy Stewart’s character is advising his future son-in-law, he describes women this way…“They expect things they never asked for, and when they don’t get them they ask you why. Then, sometimes they don’t ask and then they go on punishing you for something you didn’t know to do in the first place.”....This is wisdom.
