    RESOLUTION NO. 042816-21 Published in The Manhattan Mercury on May 3, 2016. RESOLUTION RENAMING A ROAD IN RILEY COUNTY, KANSAS OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF ANY CITY WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Riley County is authorized by K.S.A. 19-2961(d) to name or rename any street outside the corporate limits of any city within Riley County, Kansas and is further authorized to do so by K.S.A. 2015 Supp. 19-101a(a) because this legislation is not contrary to any act of the legislature. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Riley County, Kansas: 1. That a road in Zeandale Township, Section 30, Township 11 South, Range 9 East, that is shown in the attached "Attachment A" (incorporated herein by reference) and described as follows: Located in the NE 1/4 of Section 25, Township 11 South, Range 8 East, the S 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Section 30, Township 11 South, Range 9 East, the S 1/2 of Section 30, Township 11 South, Range 9 East and the SW 1/4 of Section 29, Township 11 South, Range 9 East. Beginning at a point in the NE 1/4 of Section 25, Township 11 South, Range 8 East that is approximately 414' north and 134' southwesterly of the SE corner of the NE 1/4 (Lat/Long 39.066122, -96.464450); thence meandering 134' northeasterly to the east section line of Section 25; thence meandering southeasterly approximately 1576' to the west side of the off-ramp of the east bound lane of Interstate 70; thence resuming at a point on the off-ramp of the east bound lane of Interstate 70 that is located approximately 1733' east and 67' south of the SW corner of the NW 1/4 of Section 30, Township 11 South, Range 9 East (Lat/Long 39.065025, -96.458016); thence meandering in a southeasterly direction approximately 3435' ending at a point in Section 29, Township 11 South, Range 9 East that is approximately 507' south and 34' east of the SE corner of the SE 1/4 of Section 30, Township 11 South, Range 8 East (Lat/Long 39.063742, -96.446565). 2. That such road shall be named Oilfield Trail. 3. That the road, Oilfield Trail, as described above, shall be added to the official Riley County Road Identification and Locator Map. 4. That this Resolution shall become effective upon passage and publication in the official county newspaper. ADOPTED this 28th day of April, 2016.
