    This Wamego production is directed by Wamego’s Mindy Thierolf, featuring a cast of Aubrey Hildebrand as Annie, Lauren Brown as Miss Hannigan, Stephanie Bowker as Grace, Robert Vaile as Daddy Warbucks, Michael Carson as Rooster and Maggie Shermoen as Lily and Bryan Scruggs. Ticket Prices: $20 adults, $15 students and children.

  • 4:00 pm Earth Harp Meets Oud @ McCain Auditorium

    Invented by installation artist and musician William Close, the earth harp’s body will rest on the McCain stage while its golden strings will soar above the heads of the audience and attach to the balcony rails, turning the theatre into an instrument.

    Tickets for “Earth Harp Meets Oud” are $9-$45, plus applicable taxes and fees, and are available now at the McCain Auditorium box office, online at k-state.edu/mccain, or by calling 785-532-6428.

    This concert is part of Kansas State University’s Creativity Illuminated, April 3-6, a celebration of cultural awareness with special musical performances, discussions, film screenings and more presented by artists-in-residence.

    Sponsored by the university’s Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art, K-State Libraries, McCain Auditorium and the School of Leadership Studies, Creativity Illuminated offers four days of activities designed to foster creativity, promote academic discourse and encourage cultural awareness on campus and in the community by exploring arts, culture, history and more.   • 4:00 pm Chess Club

    Students are invited to learn, watch and play chess. Beginners will learn basic rules and tactics, and more experienced players can improve their skills. Each meeting will include a short lesson on chess strategy from 4:00 to 4:30. Suggested for 5th to 12th graders, but all students are welcome. Instruction and supervision provided by KSU Chess Club and Dr. Ron Madl.

    Meetings held in the Grosebeck Meeting Room, on the second floor of the library. Chess sets are available for use in the library—ask at the second floor Adult Services desk.

  • 9:30 am Easter Egg Hunt @ T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter

    The T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter, 605 Levee Drive,  is having its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday for children younger than 5 years of age. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. Photos with the Easter Bunny will be available. Admission is a donation at the gate. Proceeds benefit animals housed at the shelter. For more information, contact the Animal Shelter at 587-2783.

  • 5:00 pm Schnitzel Dinner @ Ogden Bible Church
