A 20-year-old woman and her 1-year-old son were taken to the hospital after the woman rolled her car on Fort Riley Boulevard Tuesday near Stagg Hill Road.
Capt. Kurt Moldrup said Ignacia Dominquez, Manhattan, and her son, Gabriel, were traveling in a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer when Dominquez swerved the vehicle to miss an animal, causing her to lose control. Moldrup said the vehicle rolled into the ditch.
Riley County EMS transported the woman and her son to Mercy Regional Health Center for minor injuries.
Moldrup said the incident occurred at approximately 5:25 p.m.
