Woman arrested for shoplifting at Target

Police arrested a Manhattan woman Friday for shoplifting multiple electronics from Target, 800 Commons Pl., on Feb. 1.

Alexis Hamilton, 30, 1304 Pillsbury Dr., was arrested for felony shoplifting for allegedly stealing four cameras, two Xbox consoles, one Motorola tablet and a blu-ray player. The total loss was $2,070. Lt. Josh Kyle did not specify how Hamilton took the items from the store.

He said Target employees were able to provide enough information for officers to identify a suspect, and officers arrested Hamilton at the Riley County Police Department after she had been arrested previously for unrelated charges.

Kyle said the items have not been recovered.
