Riley County officers arrested a 28-year-old woman Monday at a Manhattan motel after she allegedly battered a police officer.

Shamona Price, homeless, was arrested after officers were called to perform a welfare check on her at Motel 6 on Tuttle Creek Boulevard around 3:20 p.m., Lt. Josh Kyle said.

Kyle said that according to reports, Price swung at an officer with her arms and legs.

She was arrested for battery of a law enforcement officer. She is confined to the Riley County Jail.
