Leaning on an outstanding night from the perimeter, the Kansas State men’s basketball team upset No. 25 Oklahoma, 72-66, on Tuesday in Bramlage Coliseum.
The Wildcats (13-4, 3-1 Big 12) made 11 of 21 shots from 3-point range, led by Marcus Foster who scored 18 points and made four 3-pointers. Wesley Iwundu, who entered the game with just one made 3 in five attempts this season, was 3 for 3 from the perimeter.
K-State backed up its offensive play with a strong defensive performance against the Sooners (13-4, 2-2), holding Cameron Clark, the Big 12’s leading scorer at 18.3 points per game, to just two points on 1 of 9 shooting.
