Wildcats sweep top Big 12 honors

Kansas State took three of the Big 12 Conference’s top awards on Wednesday, taking home Coach, Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors.

K-State coach Bill Snyder was voted by the league’s coaches as the Chuck Neinas Coach of the Year, while quarterback Collin Klein was named Offensive Player of the Year and linebacker Arthur Brown was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Klein is the first player from K-State to earn the distinction, while Brown is the third player from K-State to win the award, joining Terence Newman and Mark Simoneau.

Senior defensive lineman Meshak Williams was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year.
