Wildcats’ Mueller earns Big 12 honor

Kansas State defensive end Ryan Mueller was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, following the Wildcats’ 41-7 win over Iowa State on Saturday .

Mueller collected seven tackles and one sack against the Cyclones. The junior leads the Big 12 with seven sacks and is second with 11.5 tackles for loss.

Mueller is just the second Wildcat player to earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors this year, joining cornerback Kip Daily.

The start time for K-State’s Nov. 16 football game was also announced Monday — a 2:30 p.m. kick on FSN.
