Wet weather delays K-18 project

By The Mercury

Due to the inclement weather, many of the renovations to K-18 will be pushed back until Friday or Saturday. Two projects were completed on Tuesday, including the Scenic Drive project and the construction on Miller Parkway.

On Friday or Saturday, eastbound and westbound K-18 traffic will be head to head in the existing eastbound K-18 lanes from Ogden east to Seth Child Road K-18 traffic will remain in this configuration until mid-November.

Access to and from Davis Drive will be closed on Friday or Saturday. Davis Drive will reopen in Fall 2013.

Miller Parkway was closed yesterday.

Access to Miller Parkway from K-18 will reopen in mid-November.

Traffic also now has right in, right out access to K-18 from Scenic Drive.

All left turns are prohibited at the interchange.

Traffic patterns are also expected to change for those travelers going to and from the Manhattan regional airport.

Traffic exiting the airport to the eastbound/westbound K-18 will now follow a marked detour via existing K-18 to K-114 intersection.

These traffic movements will be in place until mid-November.

Drivers should expect delays during peak travel times and should use alternate routes if possible.
