Senior Amanda Weishaar has received multiple academic awards throughout her career as a member of the Kansas State rowing team.

On Wednesday she added to that long list as she was named to the 2012 Conference USA Rowing All-Academic Team, along with 14 other student-athletes from the league.

It marks the second straight year Weishaar has been honored by the league on the all-academic team.

Weishaar carries a 3.9 GPA majoring in public relations and is a member of the University Honors Program and Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society.

During her senior campaign, Weishaar has competed in both the 1st Varsity 8 and 2nd Varsity 8 boats and served as a co-captain.

Weishaar and her Wildcat teammates will take on the rest of league this weekend in Oak Ridge, Tenn., at the 2012 Conference USA Rowing Championship.

Action starts at 9 a.m. Saturday on Melton Hill Lake.
