Kansas State head coach Bruce Weber will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at tonight’s game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox set for a 7:15 p.m. start at Busch Stadium.

Weber will also join the veteran Cardinals’ radio team of Mike Shannon and John Rooney prior to the game at 5:30 p.m.

Entering his third season at K-State, Weber has guided the school to a 47-21 (.691) overall record en route to consecutive NCAA tournament appearances and the 2013 Big 12 Championship, the first basketball title since 1977. The squad is coming off yet another successful campaign in 2013-14, as the Wildcats advanced to the NCAA tournament for the school-record fifth consecutive season with a 20-13 overall record and 10-8 mark in Big 12 play.

Weber’s Wildcats are set to return nine lettermen, including five players with starting experience in 2014-15 to go along with Division-I transfers Justin Edwards and Brandon Bolden.
