Washington County tops Valley Heights 27-20

At Blue Rapids, Derek Trimble rushed 10 times for 113 yards as Valley Heights fell at home to Washington County, 27-20.

Trimble was held scoreless despite his run total, with Cole Maddox, Gage Woodyard and Logan Woodyard each scoring rushing touchdowns for the Mustangs.

Washington County quarterback Konner Penning threw for 198 yards and a touchdown and the Tigers added two more scores on the ground.

Valley Heights (2-2) will go on the road to face Centralia (4-0) next week. The Panthers beat Onaga 64-7, and have scored at least 60 points in their last two games.
