Wamego girls pound Marysville

At Marysville, with the NCKL league title already secured, the Wamego girls added another win to the fold on Tuesday, defeating Marysville 65-45 on the road.

It was a tight game through the first two quarters, as the teams were tied at 12 after one. The Red Raiders led by just six at halftime.

It was a 43-33 lead for the Red Raiders going into the fourth quarter, and Wamego outscored Marysville 22-12 in the final period.

Kaylee Page led the way for Wamego with 20 points — making four buckets from the field and shooting a perfect 12-of-12 at the free throw line. Rachel Griffitt scored 14 points and Lanie Page had 10.
