Wamego crushes Concordia, 73-17

The Wamego Red Raider girls’ basketball team got a big first quarter lead over Concordia on Friday, and never looked back in a 73-17 road win.

The Red Raiders held Concordia scoreless in the first quarter and went ahead 15-0. By the time the game reached halftime, it was already a 36-9 lead for Wamego.

Three players finished in double figures for the Red Raiders, with Kaylee Page leading the way at 16 points and 10 rebounds. Lanie Page had 12 points and Rachel Griffith had 11 points.

It was the first game for the Red Raiders since the winter break.
