Wamego cross country runs at Newton Invite

The Wamego cross country teams took third in the boys’ race and fourth in the girls’ race at the Newton Invitational over the weekend.

The boys were led by Colton Butler (17:24.2) in ninth place overall, with Bradley Borger (17:30.2) right behind in 10th.  Trenton Butler (17:34.03, 13th) and Jacob Davis (17:40.5, 16th) also medaled.

On the girls’ side, Allison Suefert (16:42.6) led the Red Raiders with a 14th-place finish. Right behind was Alexis Pattay (16:50.2) in 15th place and Maddie Phillips (16:53.9) in 17th.
