Wamego cross country competes at Chapman

The Wamego cross county teams competed at the Chapman Invitational on Saturday, in an unscored meet.

In the junior and senior boys’ race, Colton Butler was second and Trenton Butler was third, while Bradley Borger was fourth and Jacob Routh was fifth, with Ryan Bates in sixth. Kent Chrest took 10th and Cannon Woodward was 11th, while Kyle Wilson finished 12th and Broderic Peddicord was 13th. Daniel Dietrich took 17th.

In the junior and senior girls’ race, Ashton Butler was third, Rachel Darey was 11th and Joanna Lagerquist was 12th. Taylee Helms finished 14th.

In the freshman and sophomore boys’ race, Jacob Davis was first and Matt Schere was fourth. Chris Willette was 11th and Hunter Helget was 13th. Drew Mallin was 14th and Zach Brunner was 17th, while Joey Holley was 19th and Garrett Rose was 20th.

In the freshman and sophomore girls’ race, Allison Seufert was first, Alexis Pettay was second and Maddie Phillps was fourth. Gabby Klein was seventh and Emily Starkey was ninth.
