Wamego boys second, girls sixth at MHS

The Wamego cross country teams competed at the Manhattan Invitational Meet on Saturday with the boys finishing second and the girls taking sixth.

The Red Raiders’ boys scored 57 points, finishing 20 points behind first-place Manhattan. Five boys medaled, as Jordan Routh was fourth, Colton Butler was eighth, Trenton Butler was 14th, Brent Patton was 15th and Ryan Bates was 16th.

The girls’ team had two medalists in its sixth-place run, as Allison Seufert was 11th and Alexis Pettay was 17th.
